Loch Venachar circular 12.2 mile walk 15/04/17

On Saturday we filled our backpacks and donned the hiking boots for a long walk around Loch Venachar. A cold wind coming off the hills and the loch made for a good pace, Lesley taking to running down the hills at times. We were met with several groups of folk running and walking with a mixture of tartan attire, we were told later that the runners were doing 27 miles, the slower ones had cycled 27 miles then on to a 27 mile run, it didn't look fun.

Rain clouds that thankfully missed us

Eas Gobhain is the outflow of Loch Venachar and joins with Garbh Uisge west of Callander to form the River Teith.
