SCMC Spring Gathering at the Inn At Muckhart 23/04/17

On Sunday we trundled along to Muckhart to meet up with fellow Classic bike folk for a blether as you do, by all accounts it was the best turnout so far, the little bit of sunshine helped too, although not to be confused with a little bit of warmth, it is April in Scotland and all the road signs were warning of further snow showers, another grand day out on the bikes.

Sunday 23 April 2017

A mixture of sadness and sunshine this weekend.

On Friday I attended the funeral of a friend, along with a great many other friends who I haven't  seen for far too long. It was the first time I have been to a funeral on my motorbike, this time it felt like it was right, it was good to see so many other bikers/motorcyclists felt the same.
I remember this friend giving me some great advice when I was too young and with a head full of McEwan's Export not willing to appreciate it, only now can I say that it rang true later in life, I will treasure the great memories.

The sunshine part.
On Saturday a clear the head walk was needed so we ventured out to Corrie Fee at the head of Glen Clova, it was only a 2 hour return walk but the stunning scenery and fresh air was just what was needed.
Corrie Fee is a glacier-carved corrie-or "cirque"- situated at the head of Glen Clova in the Angus Glens of Scotland. It forms part of Corrie Fee National Nature Reserve (NNR), which is managed by Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH) and lies within the Cairngorms National Park. The adjoining Corrie Sharroch and the slopes of Craig Rennet are also in the NNR.
