Drummond Hill and Black Rock, Kenmore walk 26/11/16

Since the weather forecast was so good, we planned a wee walk above Kenmore for fresh air and sunshine. Driving down into Kenmore it was looked pretty fog bound, but seeing it lift over Loch Tay it was a great opportunity for some atmospheric photos. After a four and a half mile walk with a visit to Black Rock Viewpoint for more photos, we stopped at the Watermill Café in Aberfeldy, what a calm atmosphere sitting reading the travel books on the shelves while having the usual recovery pot of tea.

 

Tullyfergus Loop Walk 20/11/16

In need of more sunshine and fresh air we stopped at Drimmie Woods above Blairgowrie on Sunday for a walk through the forest. Thankfully we were above the pea soup fog that had descended on Perthshire. Some stunning views over the valley. A mix of forest tracks and open land with frost and brilliant sunshine.

Loch a'Choire (Ben Vrackie) Walk 19/11/16

On Saturday we headed up to Moulin above Pitlochry, the intention was to reach Loch a' Choire at the base of Ben Vrackie, sunset being at 3.55pm there wasn't enough time to attempt a walk to the summit and get back to the car. What a stunning day walking higher and higher out of the green vegetation into frosted icy ground, eventually into the snow, we managed fine even too warm if anything, Sitka managed it all in his stride as always, full of energy, not bad for a 10 year old.

Dowally Walk 12/11/16

Since both bikes have been sorned, a few hours in the fresh air and some sunshine was needed so Saturday having the best forecast we planned a walk with Sitka in the hills above Dowally, starting next to the Café at Dowally heading 60 degrees North East for a couple of miles, the original plan was to head up to Deuchary Hill but time and light was always going to be against us, we will keep Deuchary Hill and Loch Ordie for another day. We even had bright sunshine on the return journey.
