A Mars Bar Weekend

Saturday morning started with helping Lesley paint her garage floor, thankfully sans Street Triple and associated garage stuff.

To be followed by a 5 mile walk with Lesley and Sitka in the sunshine around Murthly.

Sunday was supposed to be a run on the big Yam and Lesley's Triumph Street Triple to see the Kelpies near Falkirk, a route via Powmill for a stop at the Milk Bar for refreshments was planned. My weekend pastime as renown motorcycle shover was called for by a Senior Sunbeam motorcycle rider as it wouldn't start, leaking barrel base gasket wasn't helping, thankfully I just avoided the comedy routine (for others) of me landing hands down on the gravel when the bike started.

After a mug of tea and a roll and sausage to get the energy levels back, it was time to set off, navigating the non motorcycle friendly gravel, I noticed the Street Triples back tyre was pretty flat, getting off the big Yam and applying the trusty two thumbs in tyre centre pressure gauge, it was flat.
Nerg Nail strikes again.

Kelpies trip cancelled and a slow run back to Crook of Devon garage, 8 pounds of pressure now back up to  correct pressure, a stop at crook of Kinross services to be robbed of a £1.00 to blow up again before a run to Perth to remove the back wheel at mine.

Much swearing after the obligatory burnt arm on the hot silencer, made all the funnier whilst still wearing bike leathers and boots, sweating like a rapist trying to get the tyre to Perth Mc's in the car before they shut.

Thanks to Lesley for the proper burn dressing.
