Scottish Classic Motorcycle Club Equinox Gathering
Today Lesley and I headed out on the Street Triple and the Big Yam over the Sma Glen to the SCMC Autumn Equinox 40th Anniversary Gathering, held at the Four Seasons Hotel in St. Fillans. The carpark filled up early on with like minded souls out for a run on their bikes and in need of a blether, great to see so many bikes of all makes and sizes, Old British Iron, classic Italian, Japanese and some more modern bikes. It was good to bump into friends of old Dave King and Steve Gourdie.
We stopped off on the way home at Tullybannocher for much needed sustenance and for more bike blethers, home in time before the rain appeared, just goes to show, weekends are worth getting out your bed early after all.

Norton Gathering at Town Yetholm
Saturday we headed to Town Yetholm for the annual Northumberland, Edinburgh and Tayside Norton gathering, me on the Yam and Lesley and Sitka in the car, Sitkas usual sitters being away on holiday.
The weather turned out to be lovely and sunny for both days, a great turnout made for a great Saturday night in the pub blethering with friends, Belgians Toon and his mate arrived at the end of their Scottish tour along with Tom Bradley. A late night did not make for an early exit from the campsite.
The Belgians drying out their gear, apparently they had rain in Scotland |

August Holiday Part 2, Norton to Applecross
The second part of our holiday saw us both return to Applecross for the annual Tay Valley Norton Club weekend on the Big Yam and the Street Triple, thankfully the run up was pretty uneventful as far a lunatic car drivers or foreign camper vans went. We managed to arrive at the Applecross Campsite without the need for waterproofs, first things first tent up then book in, thanks to Bert & Laurenne for the bottle of beer to help me get in the mood .The rain did appear as forecast but since it was pub time, it didn't seem to matter.
The Friday night was the local raft race across the bay to provide funds in aid of the RNLI.
great amounts of beer and blethering ensued until the weary walk back to the tent at shutting time, I think!!!
